PHEW!! Regardlessof the rainy day that it was I was still vry busy.
I didnt think Bill was going to show due to the weather so I started cleaning up behind the garage and wanted to fix my outside faucet. Bill called me around 10am asking if I could give him a hand as he prepared to work on Charlie and Vi's hillside roadway with his mini-excavator.
So thats where I spent the next couple of hours. Helping him. We also did some right of way road work along the way and it all looks very nice and should make things better for draining as well as getting some more sun on the road to help dry it up.
Looking up from Stock Farm Road. I cut the overhead branches down and moved the sign post back some.
Bill moving one of the big rocks.
This is the same rock with my hat on top.
This was another rock. It was too big so Bill had to dig a hole next too it deeper and then rolled the rock in and covered it.
These 3 rocks were right up next to the road. Bill put them further back.
This is the stone wall. Bill moved some of the rock back more.
This is up at the top. Bill pushed back some of the young pines on the left to make the turn easier.
Another view. Bill just sheered off that little triangle piece.
This is looking down towards the old house. Bill moved the rocks out for a truck turnaround.
This is looking towards Charlie and Vi's line.
Bill cut the bank back on the right to create a ditch. It runs from half way up the hill to almost the bottom and then runs towards our line. There was water seeping out of the bank after he cut into it so there was definitely a new spring formed over the winter. Hopefully this will help dry the road up nicely.
From the top looking down.
From just above the stone wall looking back to Stock Farm Road.
